Covid-19 Update
A Special Message From The Doctor & Nurse Teams Of Bariatrics In Response To Coronavirus (COVID-19):
Hello!
We hope this message finds you healthy and well.
Due to recent events, the entire Bariatrics Family wants to let you know that we are thinking of you, all past and current Bariatrics Patients, our Bariatric Doctors and Nurse Teams and our communities.
All Bariatric Centers are open and our medical professionals treating patients.
Your health and well-being are of the utmost importance right now. Bariatrics, of course, have been, and will continue to follow the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Heath Organization (WHO), and the Pennsylvania & Local County Health Departments.
The Bariatric Centers will continue, as we always have, to do all that we can to make our offices a safe, healthy and sterile environment for your treatment. We are a member of the healthcare community, and as such we already implement exceptional sterilization, safety and cleanliness standards. All surfaces are continuously cleaned and additional staff safety procedures have been implemented.
The Bariatrics staff, which consists only of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Doctors, has done everything possible in the last few weeks to keep you, every Bariatric Weight Loss Patient and all Bariatric Nurses and Doctors safe.
Upon arrival for your appointment, we will have hand sanitizer and/or hand washing stations for you to utilize.
We ask a few things to assist us in keeping our offices a safe environment for everyone:
- Please stay home and reschedule your Doctor’s appointment if you OR a family member have traveled to a high-risk area outside the U.S. within 14 days of your scheduled appointment (even if you are symptom free).
- Please stay home and reschedule your Doctor’s appointment if you have been in contact with someone who has traveled to a high-risk area outside the U.S. (even if you are symptom free).
- Please stay home and reschedule your Doctor’s appointment if you have a fever, mild flu-like symptoms, or any cold/respiratory symptoms.
- Please avoid bringing water bottles, drinks, coffee cups/mugs, snacks, or food to consume on site to prevent the spread of germs. We encourage you to continue to have conversations with your healthcare providers if you have concerns/questions.
We also recommend continuing to be extra-vigilant in efforts to minimize potential exposure by using the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
As always, the health and safety of our Bariatrics Patients is the Bariatrics staff and family’s top priorities. Please feel free to call any of our 10 Bariatrics offices to speak to a Bariatric Nurse if you have any questions at all or need additional information.
And most importantly above all, please stay safe, continue to keep your health and wellness at top priority, and stay healthy!
Sincerely,
The Doctor and Nurse Teams of Bariatrics
